Correlation of Ignition Delay for Various Methane Based Fuel Blends
Original language description
The description of this abnormal combustion is challenging task in the engine development. There is a call to use a model description in the early stage of the engine design. The objective of this paper is to introduce knock model based on the calculation of exhausted auto-ignition delay. The formula describing the ignition delay was completed by a term containing methane number of relevant fuel blend. This formula is usable for prediction of knock occurrence during engine operation on various fuel blends.
