Comparison of Genotoxicity of Exhaust from a Diesel, Biodiesel and Rapeseed Oil Powered Engine - pilot study
Original language description
Two diesel engines, one with a mechanical inline injection pump and one with a Common Rail system, were operated on diesel fuel, methylester of rapeseed oil, and heated fuel-grade rapeseed oil. Diluted exhaust was sampled with high-volume samplers, amassing miligrams of particulate matter per sample. Emissions of polyaromatic hydrocarbons and DNA adducts were determined and are presented and discussed.
