The paper introduces a machine tool virtual model for simulating a virtual machining. An approach for calculation of material removal in planar machining is developed and a model of cutting forces based on calcualtion of instantaneous uncur chip thickness is implemented. The virtual model is verified using a test trajectory in a real machining.
