Ductile damage of the material for nuclear facilities
Original language description
Fracture strain (strain reached at the instant of fracture) is one of the commonly used criteria of ductile fracture. Theoretical and experimental studies have shown that it depends on the stress state and that stress triaxiality is the key parameter controlling the magnitude of the fracture strain. This paper presents the way how to use the damage model which is extended for 3D usage by utilization of the Lode angle parameter. The fracture strain is defined in the stress triaxiality and Lode parameterspace as a surface. For description of the parameters of the material model it is necessary to use the numerical simulation and experimental material tests for calibrating the material parameters.
