Visualization of Biomass Fired Boiler

This contribution describes a method for creating visualization of biomass fired boiler at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague, Department of Power Engineering. The biomass fired boiler is a common boiler equippedwith additional instrumentation allowing to measure necessary combustion process information. We created the visualizations and control interface for boiler control to allow its easier control. The visualization and control interface is created in the software Wondervare InTouch, which is one of the most popular SCADA/HMI software worldwide. For experimental purposes, the boiler control algorithm is divided into two parts, the first one runs in the programmable controller WinCon, the second one runs inthe environment Simulink of program Matlab.
