    High Speed Pneumatic Spindle Online Vibration Control for Resonance Avoidance in Non-Loaded State

  • Original language description

    This paper concerns with practical analysis of vibrations of a pneumatic high-speed spindle during non-loaded state of its operation. There is also a method for controlling these vibrations proposed and tested in a number of experiments. Controlling theamplitude of vibrations is based on online searching of a more suitable speed level that would result in smaller vibrations. This method is usable especially for high speed spindles with a low weight rotor. In such case the rotating mass is highly dependent on weight of the tool that is clamped in the spindle. This method will allow for online vibration analysis and reduction of vibrations resulting from resonant frequencies of rotating masses of the spindle.
