Original language description
This article summarizes completed project of MIT (Ministry of Industry and Trade). In the article is presented designing and testing of three new prototype gearboxes for rail vehicles. The first prototype is the bevel-spur gearbox for 100% low-floor tram, which is placed from outside of the wheel-set. The second type is gearbox for 70% low-floor suburban trains and trams. The last prototype is single-stage gearbox for suburban and regional trains.
