This paper presents a method of manufacturing molybdenum die for growth of Al2O3 sapphire crystal. The die was designed with a system of macro and micro grooves to enhance a capillary effect during crystal growth. This paper presents methods of thin grooves manufacturing in molybdenum sample made by electro discharge (EDM) technique.
