Effective solution of multibody dynamics using modified state space
Original language description
The paper is focused on an approach, which is suitable for massive parallel solution of multibody dynamics. Numerical complexity of common multibody formalisms is dependent on the size of the system being solved. The paper describes an approach, which breaks the dependency on the system size, since it leads to a system of decoupled equations of motion and each of them can be solved separately on one computing core. The Schur complement method is used for decoupling the equations. The formulation of theapproach and a numerical experiment with a simple kinematical chain is described in this paper.
