EFFECT OF GENERIC MUSCULOSKELETAL MODEL SCALING IN PREDICTING PERSONALIZED HIP JOINT LOAD ? STUDY OF 368 HIPS
Original language description
The majority of computer systems for calculation the hip joint loading is based on scaling the musculoskeletal geometry of a generic model using simple measure of pelvic and femur based on position of external markers or centers of rotations of joints [Scheys, 2008]. Previous studies indicate that variations in individual hip geometry might considerably influence hip joint loading [Kosak, 2011]. The aim of this paper is to estimate how the method of scaling influence the computed hip joint force in one-legged stance.
