Estimation of Evapotranspiration from Measured Climatic Data
Original language description
This paper deals with the estimation of evapotranspiration, which is the process of water loss from both the soil surface by evaporation and the crops by transpiration. Due to the costs, difficulties and inaccuracies associated with the use of direct measurement of evapotranspiration, the Bowen ratio method is used for the evapotranspiration estimate. Since evapotranspiration is affected by many bioclimatic factors, the estimate is based not only on data obtained from meteorological stations but also oninfrared images captured by aerial photography. The data were transferred from the measuring stations via the Internet and processed in the Matlab environment. The ecosystem was selected near the city of Trebon in the southern part of the Czech Republicand there the meteorological stations are deployed.
