Flow modelling of pressurized sewerage system - stationary approach
Original language description
The gravity sewage system has been traditionally used for urban wastewater disposal. In these systems, the wastewater is transported from homes through pipe network to wastewater treatment facility by gravity flow. This approach is usually reliable and consume no power. However, the gravity systems may require deep excavations in hilly or flat terrain to ensure desired flow. The pipe network must be accurately placed to fulfill the slope requirements. Due to these factors the investment cost of gravitysewage system is relatively high. Therefore the conventional gravity sewage system may be economically unavailable for small, remote, or sparsely populated housing areas. For these cases, the pressurized sewage systems can be a cost-effective solution. It consists of network of fully sealed pipes that are fed by individual pumping stations located at each connected house. The household wastewater is collected in household septic tanks. If the wastewater reaches the set level, the grinder
