The objective of this work is to describe the design and construction of a testing device that will make it possible to monitor the effect of strain rate on the formability of sheet metal. The introductory part deals with current issues in the field of sheet metal forming and factors affecting the process of forming. The remainder of this paper describes the current state of the development of a tool for monitoring the impact of sensitivity on the strain rate.
