Optimizing air supply into data rack through the floor

When designing a modern data center it is possible to make use of several basic arrangements. Most frequently, it is a data rack configuration known as hot/cool aisle. Another option is that the cooled air is supplied to each data rack within a double floor and, in case of very complicated applications the closed cooling systems of one data rack cabinet are used. The purpose of this paper is to optimize, in cooperation with Conteg s.r.o. company, the cooled air supply within the double floor directly into the interior of the data rack with the aim of reducing the total pressure loss and thus increasing the maximum limit of installed power into one data rack. The current solution of the air supply to the data rack is based on using simple "deflectors" of air placed in the lower part of the data rack. The Conteg s.r.o.
