    Widely known property of industrial Aluminium alloys is their hardness change in time. Nevertheless high pressure die casting technology has specific influence on mechanical properties including hardness in comparison to other casting methods. The goal of the work was to observe the hardness of HPDC parts made of selected Aluminium alloys in time after casting and after specific heat treatment modes. It was confirmed, that hardness of all observed alloys is changing in time and in dependence at heat treatment mode. The influence of chemical composition of selected alloys on hardness and significant differences in hardness of different alloys was observed, both after casting and after heat treatment. Recommendations for meaningful hardness measurement term after casting and heat treatment modes for reaching the highest hardness were expressed.
