*The quality of cylinder charge exchange in internal combustion engines is often characterized by dimensionless parameters called ratios or ?efficiencies?. There are no standards defining them except for the obsolete SAE recommendations. The code enablesto calculate links between charge exchange characterization for both four- and two stroke boosted engines with exhaust gas recirculation containing rest oxygen or unused fuel and scavenging based on their mutual relations are deduced. The results are suitable while evaluating simulation or experiments focused on impact of charge exchange on combustion or pollutant formation. The set of three parameters is sufficient. The links are based on complicated systems of quadratic equations.
