Original language description
The paper deals with the optimization and design of functional model of spherical fibre-driven mechanism with four drives. The parameters are optimized in order to achieve maximum workspace with anti-backlash properties, without collisions and with maximum dexterity with respect to the real components. The central spherical joint is designed with three rotational sensors in order to be able to measure the platform position.
