Cast Materials with Unified Chemical Composition Assigned to Standardized Materials for Forming and Forging
Original language description
The Slévárna Chomutov J.S.C. foundry produces as a basic structural material grade GS-20Mn5 steel according to contractual standard DIN 17182. By modification of the chemical composition it is possible to cast with a unified chemical composition other types of cast materials, mainly such which correspond to certain standardized formed and forged materials. This makes it possible to cast readily replacements for worn or defective originally formed or forged machine parts. The main issue is achievement ofthe specified values of impact energy.
