Original language description
Software for quick approximate solution of flow in an axial turbine stage has been developed. The Euler equations with proper right hand sides have been solved in meridional surface (2.5D model). The blade geometry is included in the computation model. Effects associated with the prescribed losses (dissipation) and deviation are iteratively implemented by correction relations which are included into the source terms of solved equations. These losses and deviation along blade height are prescribed by a table of values for each blade row. A quadrilateral grid is used. The grid consists of two blocks: one block for a rotor and second one for a stator. The explicit AUSM type scheme has been used for numerical solution. Properties of the model were tested on complex transonic flow in a blade NASA stage BRITE. Model is sufficiently fast (within 10 minutes) and preserves good quality of the results. The software will be extended for radial stage geometries and applied on turbochargers.
