Identifying parameters of Kohout-Věchet fatigue curve model
Original language description
Fatigue curve models represent essential concept for fatigue life evaluation or prediction. In order to approximate experimental data, the parameters of a particular model have to be analyzed, resulting in appropriate parameters related to the evaluatedexperimental set. In this paper, the identification of Kohout-Věchet fatigue curve model parameters is discussed. While using it on a large number of experimental data, some limits of the model were found, and led to its detailed analysis. The parametersof model are interpreted geometrically and some relations generalizing the original work of Kohout and Věchet are derived. Using these general relations, it is shown that the slope of the model is limited, being constrained by other model characteristics. The constraint has a crucial significance for the use of the model as well as for convergence of numerical procedures used for its identification.
