This paper gives a review of possibilities for machining rotational shafts and electrodes description by electro discharge machining (EDM) technique. We designed a new vertical EDM grinder like an alternative to available machining techniques. We performed experimental machining with this vertical grinder and we have summarized possibilities and limits, which affects application of this electro discharge machining method.
