Milling of shaped parts as turbine blades is a complex problem given by requirements on dimensional characteristics, surface quality and time limitation. It is impossible or eventually very hardly to machine such parts in 3-dimensional milling machines.That is why it is essential to develop methods for milling in multi-axis CNC machines. This study is focused on solving of some of problems connected with 5-axis milling of turbine blades. Study includes number of steps that have done in the preparationphase: developing (upgrading) multi-axis CNC machine, developing post-processor for determined software, developing 3D CAD model of machine for complex simulation in CAM software. After the preparation phase follows the programming phase, which includesmaking a partprogram, simulation in a CAM software, simulation in an additional software. The last phase is machining real part and verification of specified characteristics.
