Thermal Error Compensation Models based on Transfer Functions of Different Machine Tool Structures
Original language description
Software compensation of thermally induced displacements at the tool center point (TCP) is one of the widely employed techniques to reduce thermal errors due to the cost-effectiveness and ease of implementation of this type of compensation. The applicability and robustness of the advanced software compensation based on transfer functions (TF) have been verified on different machine tool structures. Tested compensation algorithms proved their ability to significantly reduce thermal errors at the TCP independently of the machine tool structure.
