Determination of Isotropy of the C/PPS Samples Manufactured from Pellets
Original language description
The main goal of this work is to determine isotropy (anisotropy) of flat plate manufactured from C/PPS pellets which are randomly oriented. Image processing methods were used for the determination and relationship between local maxima distribution and angle of the pellet orientation was obtained for two analyzed plates. Then FE simulation of tensile test based on ASTM D3039 standard was done with material data obtained from analytical calculation based on modified classic lamination theory. This FE simulation was compared with real tensile tests on samples cut from given plates. Measured E modulus from tensile test was also compared with data obtained from 3PB experiments.
