In the modern automotive industry is laser scanning technology use especially for dimension analyses. There is also possibility to use advantages of this technology in the preparation of very accurate numerical simulations of the stamping proces. Laser scanning provide us very fast and relatively accurate 3D scans of the stamping tools. Using these 3D scanned data give us more procision in the simulations results.
