An Optimization of Stiffness and Weight of Trailing-Edge Flap Guiding Mechanism for Light Sport Aircraft
Original language description
First part of this paper deals with the design of a spatial trailing-edge flap control mechanism for light sport aircraft with inclusion of elastic deformations of flap and guiding mechanism effect. The next section deals with compilation and utilization of the methodology for optimization of stiffness of mechanism individual parts and flap in order to increase wing lift increment simultaneously with weight reduction and with impact of individual parts stiffness on lift increment and weight. A description of mechanism production common with functionality and load tests of whole high-lift system and comparison of its results with theoretical analysis is made at the end of this paper.
