Evaluation of Residual Lifetime of a Steam Pipe-Line Bend made of 14MoV6-3 Steel
Original language description
This paper deals with the evaluation of the residual lifetime of a steam pipe-line bend made of ČSN steel 15 128 (14MoV6-3) which operated in conditions of creep damage in a Czech fossil fuel power plant until its creep deformation reached the limit of 1 percent. The overall condition of the bend was assessed using a replica and cross section metallography including electron microscopy and by evaluation of mechanical properties in the as-received state and after additional laboratory ageing at 600 °C for up to 5 000 hours in air. As a final result the residual lifetime was estimated by applying mathematical approaches and standards.
