  • Original language description

    The present article aims to outline a possible approach to the design process of the cranktrain of the combustion engine. The system of the mechanism is needed to be designed and optimized in terms of a broad spectrum of requirements. The chosen approach combines three-dimensional parametric CAD models of individual components, kinematic and dynamic properties of the mechanism as well as issues of friction and calculations of the strength. DASY software system is used for these design purposes. It is a software system which enables the engineer to connect different computer systems, to control and automate the individual processes.
