Idealization of the Real Stirling Cycle
Original language description
The paper presents the possibility of an idealization of the real Stirling cycle. Idealization is done by modifying the piston movement corresponding to ideal Stirling cycle. The paper is focused on the cycle thermodynamics with respect to the indicated efficiency and indicated power. A detailed 1-D simulation model of Stirling engine is used as a tool for assessment. Model includes real nonzero volumes of heater, regenerator, cooler and connecting pipe. Model is created in commercial simulation software code GT Power.
