Identification of Vortex Structures in the Case of Axisymmetric and Two Dimensional Flow
Original language description
The analysis of two dimmensional and axisymmetric flow field has been done based on the tripple decomposition of the velocity gradient tensor. The results are presented in the figures where the simple Lamb-Oseen vortex is taken for an example. It is shown that vortex can exist only in the case where vorticity dominates over the shear. The concept of tripple decomposition applied to the axisymmetric problem is described in detail in the full text together with other examples.
