Rationalization of manufacturing casting compressors house manufactured by low pressure die casting technology.
Original language description
Foundries in our local condition are specialized in the automotive industry. Compressors house casting of the turbocharger in the embodiments may by cast using high pressure die casting technology. The foundry doesn´t have this type of technology, but compressor house casting will be cast using low pressure. The geometry, characteristic wall thickness is about 6mm and the overall dimensions of the casting are suitable for using low pressure die casting. Rationalization was carried out via numerical simulation software NovaFlow 4.6r5 to simulate filling, solidification and predicting faults. To the simulations proceeded to determine the initial and boundary conditions of the casting process and also their verification for compliance. Simulations have shown the problem of current procedure and consequences of used inappropriately thermal insulating coating . On the basis of actual problems were made draft solutions and their simulations which should be able to solve problems of current solution.
