LIFETIME CALCULATION FOR TURBINE HOUSING OF TURBOCHARGER UNDER THERMO-MECHANICAL LOADING
Result description
A damage operator approach is used to predict the damage of the thermo-mechanically loaded turbine housing of the turbocharger. Results from a transient thermal FEA are used as the main load parameter in an elastic-plastic structural FEA. A viscoplastic approximation is a part of post-processing step, where Prandtl type operators are used. Both creep and fatigue damages are predicted.
