Vibration of the vocal fold with pathological changes

  • Original language description

The finite element model of the human larynx was developed and used for numerical simulation of vibration of the human vocal fold excited by a prescribed intraglottal aerodynamics pressure. The complex model consist of the arytenoids, thyroid, cricoid cartilages and multi layered vocal fold. The proper orthogonal decomposition method was used for detecting the different character of vibration of the health and damaged human vocal fold.
