THE EFFECT OF ASYMMETRY OF THE BRONCHIAL TREE ON THE LOADING OF THE HUMAN VOCAL FOLDS
Original language description
This paper deals with the numerical simulation of the flow inside an asymmetrically branched channel that represents part of the respiratory system. The simplified parametric 3D model of the upper respiratory tract, which is formed by the trachea and bronchi (3rd degree of separation) is presented. Using numerical simulation, the loading of the left and right vocal fold was computed for the different geometric configuration of the respiratory system
