Integrated Tanker Superstructure for Firefighter Vehicle
Original language description
Development of hybrid polypropylene superstructure is described, for replacing tanks, which are end of life. Using new materials is one of the possibilities increase utility properties of existing structures. Firefighting tankers are mainly limited by service life durability of the original integrated steel tank. New polypropylene superstructure is one of the ways to use the existing chassis and get a firefighting vehicle with added value. Numerical calculations and material testing of structural nodes were performed during design process, which resulted in a final product.
