    Interaction of Incompressible Fluid Flow and a Vibrating Airfoil

  • Original language description

    In this contribution we focus on numerical simulations of aeroelastic problem of two-dimensional viscous incompressible air flow. The airfoil motion is modelled by equations of motion for two degrees of freedom. The airfoil which can rotate around the elastic axis and oscillate in vertical direction is considered. The mathematical model is represented by the system of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations and the system of ordinary differential equations. The problem is then numerically approximated by the finite volume method. The OpenFOAM, which is modified in order to solve the coupled model, is used to obtain numerical solutions.
