Lasers are very often used in cutting, welding, micro-machining and engraving technologies. Newly lasers also apply to surface hardening and surface cleaning. Laser surface cleaning is able to clean the surface from layers and deposits without proper material damage when the parameters are set correctly. For testing was used 200W laser in cooperation with the company LASCAM systems s.r.o. Testing was carried out on steel and first detected was the correct setting of laser parameters, further measuring the spot size and surface visibility. In the last measurement, the ability to degrease the surface with a laser was determined.
