    The hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is very complex device consist of many separate units. These units may be connected like a building kit into many different drive chain like for example serial or parallel hybrid electric vehicle. The introduced possibilities of the hybrid vehicle drive chain design must also be taken into account during the mathematical model development. The presented contribution is focused on the mathematical model design that allows building many different drive chains.
