Active Vibration Suppression Using Collocated Pair of Piezo-patches
Original language description
The paper deals with the problem of active vibration suppression of thin steel cantilever beam using planar piezoelectric actuator and sensor. First some basic approaches in modelling of flexible structures with piezoelectric components are introduced and then general principles of active vibration control are presented. Finite element model of cantilever beam with two piezoelectric actuators on top and one piezoelectric sensor on bottom surface is created. Then experimental structure of the same shape is constructed and input/output data are measured. Based on acquired data dynamical model in discrete state-space form is identified. Such a model is then used for synthesis of H-infinity regulator and its performance is simulatively and experimentally evaluated.
