    Design and optimization of additional piezo-actuated platform of cable mechanism

  • Original language description

    The paper deals with the optimization of multi-level mechanism based on cable-driven spherical mechanism Quadrosphere. The mechanism consists of the main movable cable-driven platform and superimposed piezo-actuated 3 DOF mechanism. Demonstrator of additional mechanism fully tailored to the primary Quadrosphere has been optimized, designed and built. Firstly the multiobjective optimization of the planar mechanism took into account the dexterity, workspace extension and stiness in the mechanism plane. The second step of optimization was based on the detailed 3D exible mechanical models including detailed models of implemented mechanically amplied piezoactuators. The sucient separation of the eigenfrequencies of the additional mechanism from the eigenfrequencies of primary cable-driven mechanism has been achieved. Based on these optimizations and analysis the demonstrator of piezo-actuated mechanism has been built and mounted to the cable driven platform. Currently the tuning of the motion control of the multi-level mechanism demonstrator is in progress.
