The paper deals with new method of in-cyliner flow characterization using vorticity based parameters. By means these parameters it is possible to refine the quantification of large vortex level, especially in the case of two equall counter-rotating vortices. Results of vorticity numbers evaluation are compared with standard swirl and tumble numbers.
