Compensation of the Springback Behavior in Large Sheet Metal Stamping
Original language description
Introduced paper focuses on the in depth description of the springback phenomenom in the field of sheet metal forming. Main objective of the paper is to design a modified solution of the current approach to the springback issue. Modified solution is designed as a methodology with focus on the analysis and compensation of springback with help of numerical simulation. Motivation behind the main goal is an effective solution of the springback phenomenom in current praxis. Based on the current solution, excessive time and financial cost due to correction on the press tools emerge. The corrections not always lead to better, final accuracy of the stampings. To achieve main goal, smaller subgoals are applied. In these experiments, main focus is on parameters which more or less influence the springback phenomenom. Designed methodology is verified on reals car body parts. These parts are from SEAT Ateca (fifth doors) and ŠKODA Superb (fender). Research is carried out with help of the deparment of the press tools design in ŠKODA AUTO, a.s. There, methodology is used for improving quality and accuracy of the stamping process of the car body parts and for improving quality of the final product.
