The influence of surface pre-treatment and cleanness on adhesion of coating materials
Original language description
The work deals with chemical and mechanical methods of pre-treatment of a surface and its cleanness. Then it focuses on the effect of these methods and cleanness of surface on adhesion of water based coating materials and epoxy resin coating materials. As to pre-treatment, different methods are compared and the properties of a surface are evaluated – roughness and cleanness. Adhesion is evaluated by various methods after coating and curing. The methods include adhesion pull-off test, adhesion cross cut test and adhesion test with X-cut tape.
