The current requirements to reduce vehicles emission equipped with internal combustion engine is focused primarily on new vehicles. However, there are areas in which a combustion engines are not replaced often, for example agriculture vehicles. One easy way, how to reduce some of the harmful emissions of these vehicles is conversion to dual fuel operation. This work evaluates the effects of dual fuel operation of turbocharged compression ignition tractor engine. Modifications and measurements has been done on the Zetor 10540 turbo intercooler equipped with Zetor 1301 engine with mechanical injection system. Effects on emissions and performance were assessed. Results shows positive effect of DF mode to performance, PN, CO2, NOx.
