    Additive manufacturing offers a number of unique capabilities and allow the production of very complicated geometries. However, the building process is limited by a number of restrictions. They are based on the nature of additive technologies - building of a part layer by layer, but also on the possibilities of production machine and parameters of input material. The combination of Concept Laser M2 Cusing machine and CL 31Al powdered material is examined in this article. A simple benchmark artifact was designed to assess the dimensional and geometrical parameters, the possibility of printing small elements. The evaluation of surface roughness and porosity was also done.
