This report summarizes the work carried out on the TE02000032 Advanced Aerostructures research centre, WP1 and WP3 and DV 3.5.3 "SHM methods integration and demonstration" carried out in 2019 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, CTU in Prague. The aim of the experimental work, described in this report, was to test the FBG sensor system installed on the composite air-intake demonstrator during the impacting process. The goal was to demonstrate the ability of the field of FBG sensors system to detect and measure strain response of composite structure to very fast impact loading.
