    Technical report describes the results of the subproject 1 - Research of Technologies, Testing and Control for Future Powertrain Components (RETEPO) elaborated during the year 2019 in the form, suitable for structured results presentation in a X-Wiki-based expert system. The RETEPO subproject is primarily focused on powertrain research and development dedicated to vehicle powertrains and components. It considers TRLs of TRL4 – TRL7. This is reflected in the partner selection (universities, large passenger car manufacturer, turbocharger suppliers, testing authorities, etc.). It consists of different work packages focused on specific components/sub-assemblies of future powertrains including their control (i.e., control algorithms and necessary power electronics), optimization (using advanced predictive simulation tools) and testing (both real specimens and virtual ones). Global future trends are considered, since specific deliverables are focused on vehicle electrification and improving of the overall GHG emissions (pollutants being treated by the other subproject) , autonomous driving control and safety using agent systems are applied especially to car sharing while using artificial intelligence and shortening of design phase by frontloading using expert systems for improvement of automotive industry competitiveness.
