EVALUATION OF TENSILE TEST USING DIGITIZING SYSTEM ARAMIS
Original language description
Tensile test is considered to be one of the most important tests used for determining mechanical properties as percent elongation, yield strength, tensile strength, or reduction of area. This work deals with the application of the measuring system ARAMIS for tracking the tensile test. The measuring system ARAMIS is based on the principle of the Digital Image Correlation. This method is used for imaging the deformation of the object during the tensile test. The ARAMIS system is attached to a mobile tripod. That follows the execution of the proper calibration of the cameras. There must be a contrasting coat of paint (known as a pattern) on the specimen and this pattern must remain coherent during the execution of the tensile test. Steel DX57D+Z100-M-C-O, which was measured by the system ARAMIS, has a quite high value of percent elongation. This implies that the preparation of the tested sample is very important. Thus the work is also focused on the degreasing of the measured sample and the right application of the pattern.
