THE EFFECT OF STRAIN RATE ON POSITION OF FORMING LIMIT CURVE
Original language description
To design forming operations for the production of bodies in the automotive industry, numerical simulations are used. These simulations require information about the formed material. One of the required properties is the Forming Limit Diagram (FLD), which determinesthe limits of sheet metal forming using Forming Limit Curves (FLC). However, the properties of the materials are evaluated under standard conditions, which are very different from the real pressing process. The goal of this article is to compare the behavior of the material at different strain rates and to determine by it the effect on the position of the FLC.
