The whole energy accumlator systém is designed in scope of needs of the second generation of CTU Lions racing team electric motorcycle. It is the results of the testing and trade-offs of geometrical configurations and battery cell types. The final functional samples onsists of 868 battery SONY VTC5 cells (28s31p) in own designed and thermally verified configuration. The structure of the battery is designed by the team and consist of electric insulant sidewals, nickel sheets that are connected to the battery cells, coppes scheets welded with the nickle ones and 3D printed ABS honeycombs that define the final positions of battery cells. For the purposes of the battery pack operation there were developped specialized Battery Managament System, Recharge system circuits and specifications, Ground Low Voltage System and High Voltage System boards.
